Simone, Dawn, Litara, Caroline and administrator Tia, are so proud of their kindergarten! Their passion for early learning rubs off on the children, who are encouraged to be creative and inquiring.

Te Reo plays an important part in their everyday language, with children actively asking to be taught the Maori words for things. Their children enjoy a strong literacy programme and have the opportunity to have their own illustrated stories bound into real books, to share with their families.

The children love to use their imagination. Our teachers enjoy helping them to problem solve, negotiate and learn social skills through joining in their child-led play.

Our Philosophy

We encourage children to think, reason, question and experiment, in their journey to become competent and independent learners.

We respect children’s uniqueness and different learning styles and encourage these to be explored through Nature Based Play.

We nurture children’s self esteem, giving them strategies to enable them to respect and care for each other and the living environment.

We value children’s cultural diversity, encouraging them to be proud and confident in sharing their cultural identity.

We invite whanau contribution and participation in their child’s learning.

We believe children learn through active play and purposeful interaction with their peers and teachers, using a wide variety of quality learning materials, in an environment that is challenging, secure and nurturing.
